We are seeking experienced and passionate Staff Specialists (Psychiatry of Older Persons - Psychogeriatrician) to join the Subacute Older Persons Mental Health Team at Bundaberg Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality care to older adults experiencing mental health challenges.
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality mental health care to the communities of the Bundaberg region.
Your opportunity:
The Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS) provides comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of older adults with complex mental health conditions in various settings, including acute inpatient and community mental health.
This position will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and training within multidisciplinary adult mental health teams across the Service to support high-quality patient care.
Opportunity for Private Practice:
The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals.
The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:
Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow the establishment of practice and referral pathways.
Assistance with credentialing and administrative support to commence private practice.
Introduction to local GPs, physicians, and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.
Our offer:
We are offering a competitive remuneration package valued up to $528,085 p.a., including a salary between $182,106 - $266,677 p.a., generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%), salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
