Position: Director Business Support
As Director Business Support, you will be responsible for leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver enabling services across the business including Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), Quality, and governance of Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability.
This includes:
Developing and maintaining an effective Business Support function for Kongsberg Defence Australia (KDAu).
Implementing and managing a strategic framework that provides oversight and visibility of all HR activities across the business.
Ensuring appropriate and timely management of all HR matters across the business.
Management of all HR policies to ensure alignment with State, Territory and National Legislation and Regulations.
Providing oversight of all KDAu IT operational activities ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Benchmarking current Business Support practices in order to develop and implement a roadmap to optimisation including policies, procedures, processes, tools, templates and metrics.
Planning and coordination of activities to develop and maintain KDAu's quality system ensuring accreditation against identified ISO standards.
Adopting a continuous improvement approach to the identification of risks, issues and change resolution processes across the Business Support function and work with stakeholders to take corrective action as needed.
Proactive management of the Business Support function budget.
Ensuring all reporting for the function is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Site management for KDAu head office in Canberra.
Undertaking travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfill the requirements of this role.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as Bachelor level qualifications in Human Resources, Business or Management.
Master qualifications in a relevant field, such as Human Resources, Business or Management (desirable).
Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role.
Experience managing the Human Resources capability during a period of significant organisational growth.
Previous experience in a similar role within Defence Industry (desirable).
Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Must be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
Location: Canberra, ACT.
