AUMS are actively seeking suitably qualified applicants to fill the role of Mine Surveyor based at our operations in Botswana – Zone 5 on a permanent roster of 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly productive team environment with a successful leading international contractor.
Responsibilities:UG Mine Surveyor is responsible for completing all routine survey works in-field and office.
Ensuring the designs are correct and suitable for implementation.
Supporting development and production processes underground by producing survey plans, design setting out, and as-built reports, either for development or production.
Carry out the survey control station as per regulation standards of accuracy.
Essential Requirements:Strong knowledge of how to use survey instruments and software.Degree Qualifications in Geomatic/Geodesy Engineering.Strong background working within underground mining with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-speed development mechanised mine.Understanding of the concept of underground check surveys.Ability to create survey plans.Understanding of survey weekly reports, overbreak reports, and QA/QC reports.Advanced communication skills in the English language, both written and verbal.Your proactive attitude to safety and driven work ethic will see you as a much-valued employee in line with AUMS's values and 'can do' attitude, and will be rewarded with a highly competitive, targeted remuneration package, completing our vision of a work-life balance in a strong team environment.
A full pre-employment medical is required, including drug and alcohol screening, and site-specific clearances.
A National Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at the time of the interview.
