Our client is a well-established family-owned retailer with a national presence.
The Group is made up of two retail brands plus a service and manufacturing arm.
They are seeking a Systems/Management Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team.
The Role You will play a crucial role in integrating financial processes with their operational systems by leveraging your accounting and systems knowledge.
Key Responsibilities Management Accountant Function Undertaking month-end accounting and reporting process, including the development of complex journals, review/analysis of financial results and other month-end activities Preparation and distribution of daily reports Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations Preparation and oversight of asset registers, asset capitalisations and policies Understand, investigate, provide commentary and resolve variances as identified from reports Contribute to budget and forecast processes Preparation of short-term cash flows for Manager review before submission Assistance with compliance reporting such as BAS, FBT, and income tax returns Preparing journals Assisting with external audits Involvement in projects, as required Identification and support for process automation and process improvements Liaise with internal stakeholders on financial outcomes Mentoring across the Finance Team Actively participate in and contribute to team meetings System Accountant Function Assist with the implementation of the new Dynamics 365 ERP program and other ancillary software Perform system period close activities in line with accounting month-end timetable Ensure system permissions are maintained in line with delegated authorities and approval limits and ensure the segregation of duties Perform system administration functions for the finance system including general ledger, fixed assets, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, Point-of-Sale and Workshop Services management portal Be responsible for resolving the day-to-day issues with D365 and ancillary software applications to ensure functional efficiency Using business intelligence tools, design and create reports to support and enhance the financial reporting and analysis and improve decision-making across the business Seek opportunities for system and process improvement through collaborating with stakeholders Maintaining and improving the integration with other systems and databases across the business To succeed in this role, you will require: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance CPA or CA (or near completion) 3+ years prior experience in a similar role Advanced Excel skills with the ability to maintain and create models Ability to effectively manage large data sets and translate them into meaningful outputs High attention to detail to maintain our high standard of accuracy and integrity Experience with Dynamics 365 Experience with Pronto Xi is desirable but not essential Experience with ERP implementations is highly desirable Capability to work, interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build positive, professional relationships Strong team player Proactive and positive attitude Apply For a confidential discussion regarding this role or to explore other career opportunities, please contact: Tarnya Mangano | Partner - Legal Support Recruiter Ref No: 27461 Email: ****** Phone: 0410 668 577 Please send your CV in Microsoft Word format .
