About the role The Clinical Psychologist role is a 2 day per week, job share position primarily responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of the psychology/counselling student hub.
This role works in close collaboration with a Senior Clinical Psychologist as part of a 4 day per week psychology program.
The willingness to hold a caseload will also be a component of the role, providing brief interventions that are solution-focused to those seeking mental health support from Jewish Care.
What you will do Maintain the operations of the Psychology/Counselling student hub that incorporates students completing psychology degrees, counselling degrees, and similar courses to provide assessment and therapeutic supports to those who engage Jewish Care for mental health support. Provide generalist therapeutic support to clients who identify a mental health need via phone, online, or in-person support. Build capacity of internal stakeholders through education, resource sharing, and secondary consultation, in collaboration with the Senior Clinical Psychologist. Engage with other mental health stakeholders in the catchment and build partnerships with relevant providers to enhance access to services for Jewish Care's clients. You will bring Clinical Masters in Psychology or relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Psychology. Experience supervising psychology students (desired). Current registration with AHPRA. Experience in working across a range of mental health issues including depression, addiction, anxiety, and psychosis. Eligible to register to provide psychology services through Medicare.
