Newly created role CA/CPA part-qualified/qualified Prestigious Family Office Skip Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical financial accountant to join our finance team and provide critical support for our accounting, reporting, and analysis functions.

Financial Accountant Responsibilities: Accounts Payable and Receivable Process and record all vendor invoices, expense reports, and other payables in a timely and accurate manner Manage the accounts receivable function, including invoicing clients, following up on outstanding payments, and ensuring timely collections Reconcile accounts payable and receivable subledgers on a monthly basis Bookkeeping and Accounting Reconciliations Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for all family businesses, investment accounts, and other activities Perform regular bank, credit card, and investment account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of accounting data Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Reporting and Insights Prepare customised financial reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses for family members and business leaders Analyse accounting data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement across the family's consolidated financial activities Support the compilation of information for tax filings, audit requirements, and other regulatory reporting Fund Performance Reporting Track the performance of the family's investment portfolio, including private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative investments Calculate and report on key performance metrics such as returns, cash flows, and valuations Provide analytical insights to help the family and investment team make informed decisions Other Duties Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies Provide backup support for other finance team members as needed Participate in special projects and ad-hoc requests from family members and senior leadership About you The following skills and attributes are desirable to be considered for this role: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and CPA or CA part-qualified, or recently qualified 3 + years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role, preferably in a private wealth management or family office environment Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Xero, Aleph) and advanced Excel skills Proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records and performing detailed reconciliations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential financial information Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders Working knowledge of investment performance reporting and analysis is preferred You possess the following qualities: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Strong ethical standards and integrity Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Self-motivated with a high level of initiative Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Culturally relaxed, open, and empathetic ________________________________________ Next steps: Skip Capital is partnering exclusively with Platinum Pacific Partners in respect to this appointment.
