Robina State High School is seeking an experienced candidate who is a passionate and motivated educator to join the leadership team.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Deputy Principal to join our school in a permanent capacity.
Robina State High School is a coeducational independent public secondary school located in Robina on Queensland's Gold Coast, with a 2024 enrolment of 1530 students.
Since opening in January 1996, the school has built an excellent reputation for its diverse programs and student outcomes.
Our vision for 2022-2025 focuses on providing an optimal learning environment where students are challenged to achieve their best, supported by a refined and contextualised curriculum.
Robina State High School fosters success in academic, sporting, creative, and civic arenas, preparing students for the dynamic and evolving careers of the future.
About the Role:
As the Deputy Principal you will:
Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools.
Develop the quality of teaching and learning.
Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
The Deputy Principal reports to the school Principal.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Deputise for the Principal when required.
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
Be futures oriented and strategic.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
Manage resources to achieve goals.
