Kudosity is seeking a visionary Director of Technology to lead us into the future of messaging — aligning product and delivery capabilities, and transforming our engineering, product, and design teams to be modern, agile, and ready to scale.

How you'll make an impact
Reporting into our MD and forming a part of our executive leadership team, as well as leading a large team, the Director of Technology will be responsible for leadership across technology and product capabilities, driving a customer-first, innovation-focused culture focused on delivering value and achieving rapid growth.

You will align Kudosity's product strategy with our delivery capabilities, and focus on uplifting, modernising and maturing our engineering and product & design teams while continuously operationalising our microservices architecture.

This role faces the challenge of modernising architecture and user experience to ensure business and customer success, and collaborating with Commercial and Marketing teams to deliver optimal customer experiences and customer-focused development.

You'll be working closely with a transparent, high performing and collaborative leadership team with diverse experience.
As a newly created role in the business, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on a broad team with critical responsibilities in Kudosity's journey to sustainable, profitable growth.

What you'll do
Strategic Execution: Define and lead the long-term technology vision, building a robust strategy for the future state of Kudosity's platform and product offerings.
Develop and execute on initiatives that align with this vision, empowering teams to work towards realising the company's growth potential while maintaining technical excellence and velocity to market.
Leadership: Create and empower high-performing engineering, platform and product teams that consistently deliver high-quality results, while fostering a culture of innovation and operational efficiency through a project-to-product mindset.
Design Thinking / Customer Experience: Lead with understanding of how problems are linked to design thinking and to solve them in alignment with strategy.
Technology Roadmap: Develop a clear roadmap for technology with a vision of change, providing modern platform architecture and managing technical debt; balancing technical decisions with engineering productivity; alongside the delivery of new platform and product features.
Collaborative Innovation: Partner closely with Product and Commercial teams to align product offerings with market needs and optimise the customer experience, while making collaborative decisions related to personnel, tools, design, new capabilities, and technical aspects.
Data and AI Leadership: Develop and execute a data and AI strategy that drives product innovation and enhances user experience.
Operational Balance: Balance the operational requirements of the business around availability, security and performance with the challenges of modernising, innovating and building new features.
Commercial Acumen: Connecting customer research with product alignment and technical delivery, creating functional prototypes, and managing the software development and delivery stages supporting the Kudosity journey towards profitable growth.
Security and Compliance: Ensure robust IT operations focused on maintaining security standards in engineering and compliance requirements to protect sensitive data and uphold regulatory obligations for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications.
External Brand Building: Elevate Kudosity's external profile by engaging with industry, tech, and customer communities, while also fostering a strong internal brand presence to position Kudosity as an industry leader in innovation and customer focus.
What you'll bring
Extensive experience in scaling engineering and product teams within an earlier stage, founder lead, rapid growth SaaS or tech environment.
The power to influence and motivate, direct and enable, and face setbacks with growth in mind.
Proven ability to build and sustain high-performance teams through a unified leadership approach focused on clear goal-setting, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Experience in fostering a culture of transparency, feedback, and performance management, ensuring that individual and team goals align with the company's strategic objectives.
Success in creating data-driven performance metrics to measure the impact of engineering and product initiatives, enhancing team productivity and organisational outcomes.
Proven leadership in the challenges of transitioning from monolithic to microservices architecture, with operational expertise in cloud infrastructures like Google Cloud.
Experience balancing innovation with operational needs, particularly when managing legacy systems alongside modern technology stacks.
A strategic mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver customer-focused, scalable solutions, balancing the focus between technology and product demands.
Ability to convert executive-level tech strategy into detailed action items and day-to-day delivery within the engineering and product team, ensuring that strategic goals are effectively translated into operational execution.
