HomeRun is creating Australia's leading Last Mile Business, powering the eCommerce growth of all Woolworths Group brands through an exceptional last mile customer experience at competitive economics.
HomeRun provides an end-to-end Last Mile solution with the team, technology and operations to offer differentiated customer experiences at scale across Australia.

We use the strength and scale of our amazing retail brands, supply chain, fulfilment centres and edge network of more than 1,200 stores (located within 10 min of 90% of Australians) to deliver leading reliability, coverage and efficiency.

This role reports to the MD eComX, who in turn reports to the Woolworths Group CEO.

The Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and optimise the last-mile delivery process for Australia's leading e-commerce retailer, from Stores and Fulfilment Centres to the front door.
You will lead a high-performing team, collaborating with key stakeholders across the group to develop and implement innovative delivery solutions.
This includes spearheading the expansion of B2B delivery services and integrating gig economy partnerships to optimise delivery speed, reliability, and convenience.

As a platform pioneer, you will drive innovation and growth of the last-mile platform for the entire group, championing sustainability through cutting-edge technologies and emerging trends.
This role is critical in shaping the future of last-mile delivery and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the retail industry.

HomeRun is powered by four key teams:

Last Mile Operations ensures operational excellence and safety for over 20 million deliveries annually; Optimisation and Technology develops cutting-edge tools and technologies for enhanced customer experience and profitable growth; Partner Success and Commercial manages key supplier relationships and supports retail customer goals; Future Last Mile Solutions focuses on integrating next-generation technologies for a differentiated last-mile experience.
The Director of HomeRun will lead and coordinate these teams to deliver exceptional results for the Group.

About you:

We are looking for an innovative leader with a passion for logistics, technology and a strong drive to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers.
You must be a strategic thinker with the ability to execute complex operational plans, a collaborative partner who can build strong relationships, and a technology enthusiast who embraces innovation.

You will be motivated by the opportunity to shape the future of last-mile delivery and make a significant contribution to the success of Woolworths Group.

You'll bring:

Executive level leadership experience with a deep understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and last-mile delivery challenges.
Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams, consistently fostering high-performance work environments.
Strategic vision, with an ability to develop and implement strategic plans that drive business growth and competitive advantage.
An ability to effectively influence and collaborate with teams across the organisation to drive initiatives and achieve shared goals.
Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in P&L management and budget oversight.
Knowledge of emerging technologies in logistics, transportation and route optimisation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
An ability to analyse complex data and make informed decisions that drive business results.
Experience in working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
