Yarra Ranges Council is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, footpaths, drainage, car parks, and other associated project works.
This role sits within the Infrastructure Delivery team and is key to providing technical expertise and project management for the Council's infrastructure works.

In this role you will: Oversee all stages of project delivery, from scoping, budgeting, and design review to contract management and project handover.
Provide expert advice on civil engineering projects and mentor junior engineers within the team.
Act as the supervising registered engineer as per the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the community, to ensure projects meet Council and community needs.
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery systems and processes, ensuring efficiency and quality outcomes.
Experience and Skills We're Looking For: Significant experience in managing civil infrastructure projects, from inception to completion, including scoping, budgeting, design, and construction.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices, with the ability to provide technical guidance and oversight in areas such as roads, drainage, and other municipal projects.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and the community, ensuring project objectives are met.
Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards, including the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019, and the ability to ensure project compliance.
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving innovative solutions.

Option to take up a monthly RDO Salary from $104,442 (Band 7) per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation.
