This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading Working in the Strategy, National, Analytics and Programs Branch - Energy Division you will be part of a team that are driving energy and emissions transformation and climate action for Queensland, and delivering nation-leading government procurement.
The Energy Programs team within the Department of Energy and Climate is responsible for the delivery of over $130M in grants, rebates and other innovative programs supporting energy efficiency, solar and battery uptake and decarbonisation for Queensland businesses and households.
As a key member of the team, you will develop and implement programs and initiatives through engaging with stakeholders and delivery partners, building customer relationships, and administering partnership and delivery agreements and deeds.
You and your team will liaise closely with service providers, decision makers at senior levels and other key project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilites for the Role: Conduct high-level research, interpretation, analysis and review of regulatory and policy issues pertaining to program development/delivery activities.
Prepare program material including technical reports, regulatory instruments, briefing material, media and communications, presentations, publications and correspondence.
Undertake the development and implementation of program monitoring, analysis, evaluation and reporting to substantiate effective and efficient program governance and appropriate outcomes.
Identify program risks and issues and develop and implement mitigation measures to effectively manage these and use sound judgement to escalate as appropriate.
Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, tailoring messages to suit a variety of audiences.
Manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels to support the design and delivery of programs.
This may include delivery partners, government agencies, stakeholder groups and members of the public.
Apply critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills to complex matters.
Plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing activities within tight timeframes in a busy work environment as part of a team, or individually.
Work flexibly and dynamically within a high performing and cohesive team responsible for delivering government energy programs, policy and initiatives.
Embrace change and demonstrate a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement practices to ensure the ongoing development and implementation of enhanced administrative practices and processes Promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting common expectations to develop a sense of collaboration among colleagues.
Key Experience and Qualifications: The following will be considered highly desirable: Experience working in a fast-paced project/program environment.
Government experience not necessary, and relevant private sector experience preferred.
Prior experience with the energy (or similar) sector desirable, but not essential.
