Job Description for Oracle DBA for Sydney Location.The position requires:Design & build Oracle DatabasesOracle standaloneOracle RACOracle ADGGolden Gate is an added advantageDesign & build MySQL / PostgreSQL DatabasesStandaloneMaster Slave configuration / DR setupDesign & build Microsoft SQL DatabasesStandaloneAlwaysOnReplication or Log shippingOracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre knowledgeDevelop and maintain system documentation related to the database configurationPerform Patch & release managementPerform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacityReact to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriateParticipate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the systemKnowledge of following Operating System environments:Redhat/Oracle LinuxIBM AIXOracle SolarisWindows ServersINTERPERSONAL SKILLSThe position requires:Proven ability to deliver results as required within specific time frames.Ability to work within a team in a cross-cultural environment.Ability to work after hours.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEThe position requires:5 - 7 years of experience as Database Admin on Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL.Formal IT related qualifications.
