Pumphouse Point is an adults-only retreat nestled on Lake St Clair, just 2.5 hours from Hobart.
This hidden gem features 19 rooms in two converted heritage buildings, offering an intimate escape in World Heritage wilderness.
Only 10 minutes away, the Derwent Bridge Wilderness Hotel boasts soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and a grand double-sided fireplace at the heart of its bar and restaurant—perfect for relaxing by the fire, enjoying a meal, and sipping a drink in a classic alpine pub.
Job DescriptionWith your experience, create an impact on our guests in this hands-on and detail-oriented role.Ensure our guests have a great food and beverage experience and make holiday memories.Staff accommodation available.What you'll do: This casual role will work predominately at the newly refurbished Derwent Bridge Hotel.
However, you may also work at Pumphouse Point when required.
You'll provide exceptional service with a warm welcome.
You'll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude.
On a daily basis you will:
Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties.Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required.What you'll bring: Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce.Strong bar and cocktail making experience.A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine.A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests.Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA).Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion.Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays.What's in it for you?
