About the Business Yancoal Australia is one of Australia's largest pure play coal producers.
It boasts three tier one thermal coal mines in New South Wales together with interests in three other metallurgical and thermal coal mines located in New South Wales and Queensland.

Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces around 3 million tonnes of coal per year for domestic supply.
About the Role Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, this role will have a direct impact on the success of Premier mine and the successful candidate will gain exposure to all areas of mining.
You will bring your experience and enthusiasm into the role and provide specialist advice and solutions in a geologically challenging and exciting workplace.
The flat structure of Yancoal Australia will give you exposure to all levels of the business skills and knowledge.
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual, who enjoys both engaging with broad stakeholder groups and working autonomously.
We are looking for a self-starter who wants to take the next step in their career whilst working for a reputable mining company.
Roster : 8 on 6 off (dayshift), fixed Term Fulltime (12 months)
About You To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes :
Tertiary Qualifications in Mine Surveying (Diploma or higher)Experience working in the mining industry (preferred)Highly developed skills pertaining to mining software packages and surveying practices (Vulcan, Point Studio preferred)Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issuesCompetent computer user with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteSound understanding of global positioning systems and total station useWell experienced in the provision of surveying applications within an Open Cut coal mining environmentUAV experiences in Multi Rotor and VTOL (Preferred)Well experienced in maintaining communication across several departmentsBenefits Yancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
