ABOUT THE ROLE RFQ Opportunity 12 months contract Melbourne based but Canberra is also an option Required NV1 security clearance or above The Cloud Engineer is responsible for supporting the operation and optimization of the Managed Cloud Environment (MCE).
This role delivers engineering solutions, ensures operational excellence, and drives a cloud-first, cloud-native approach across our services.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Deliver engineering solutions, including scripting, provisioning, deployment, automation, and optimization of the Managed Cloud Environment in line with standards.
Fulfill operational activities via Service Management processes.
Deliver, operate, and manage the Service according to defined targets and guardrails.
Utilize skills, knowledge, and toolsets to enable operational efficiency, agility, and reliability.
Engage global and local counterparts as part of the established communities.
Drive a cloud-first and cloud-native approach to managing and operating the Managed Cloud Environment.
Deliver outcomes in line with established standards and best practices.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years of experience in AWS administration.
Proficiency in core AWS IaaS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and exposure to PaaS services.
Experience with scripting and automation tools.
Awareness of the Information Security Manual (ISM).
Ideally, experience working within the Defence sector.
NV1 or Above Security Clearance is required.
