A great opportunity for a Leading Hand to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Pinkenba, QLD.
In this role you will lead a team of Vehicle Mechanics and Trade Assistants who work on routine maintenances and repairs on a range of military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked, and armoured vehicles
$42.89 - $44.58 an hour inclusive of allowancesWork 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on FridaysTraining & Upskilling providedRelocation assistance for the right candidateWork on unique Defence vehicle and assets17.5% Annual Leave LoadingAll tools, PPE and Uniforms providedOn-site Parking About the role Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classificationRepair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced partsCarry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairsTest and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates About you Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level (open to Light Vehicle Mechanics)Demonstrated experience on Heavy commercial vehiclesDemonstrated ability and practical experience to inspect, repair, and maintain Light, Medium, and/or Heavy vehicles to a medium level of repairMust possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's LicenceYou must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance About Ventia Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
