About the role We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth based engineering team.
We will also consider a strong Senior Mechanical Engineer who is ready to take the next step.
Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be working in a highly experienced team supporting a variety of critical mineral studies and/or projects.
The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis.
You will lead or manage studies and/or projects, along with being hands-on in providing timely and professional delivery of project deliverables in accordance with the company, client and project requirements.
Brief duties Design calculations and equipment selection, for various applications including bulk materials handling systems, slurry & hydraulic systems, mechanical platework etc.Assisting with the creation, implementation and maintenance of project specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable to improve efficiency including Scopes of Work, Specifications, Datasheets and Technical Evaluation of Tender SubmissionsReview Vendor documentation and facilitate incorporation into project designs with specific reference to ensuring constructability, operability and maintainabilityEnsuring compliance with the project specific requirements and current industry work codes and standardsExecute project delivery within schedule, budget and quality criteria with a strong focus on safetyPro-actively work to identify risks, both project and technical, and taking appropriate action to ensure successful project outcomesWillingness to attend site for short to medium term construction support, commissioning and/or operational support roles as requiredAbout you Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalentExperience with base metals, rare earth minerals and mineral processing in a design and construct environmentExperience in materials handling and plant front end, slurry, water and solutions pumping and pipeline designUnderstanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standardsStrong deliverable focus and ability to plan the workInnovative thinker with the ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously to meet strict deadlines.A good attitude, team focus and willingness to learn.Valid rights to work in Australia - EssentialHere at DRA, we offer Competitive and above market salary packages with regular market analysisA fresh & modern office in the Perth CBD with access to end of trip facilitiesFlexible start and finish times allowing for great work life balanceAccess to salary packaging benefitsA great social committee offering a range of social events and wellbeing activitiesAn inclusive, collaborative and supportive team environment providing you with the tools to succeedThe opportunity to work alongside engineering and design excellence supporting you with their expertise and mentorship, allowing for professional growth and career development.We value diversity and the benefits it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people.
