Your New Role Our Hays Sydney CBD office is seeking a full-time permanent In-House Legal Assistant, starting at the end of January 2025.
As an In-House Legal Assistant, you will provide vital administrative support and assistance to the ANZ in-house Legal Team, along with ad-hoc support as needed.
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role is crucial in helping our in-house legal team deliver outstanding service to our internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and triage the shared legal inbox
Address queries from internal stakeholder queries
Maintain and update legal files and databases
Conduct preliminary contract reviews
Collaborate with the Contracts team
Perform general and legal research tasks
Update reporting registers (e.g.
Anti-Bribery and Corruption)
Assist the privacy team
Liaise with stakeholders and provide updates
Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Maintain Legal team pages on the intranet
Handle filing and file maintenance
Organise meetings as required

What You'll Need to Succeed

Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
Ability to develop good working relationships with peers and all internal stakeholders
Proficiency in legal research tools and software
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Self motivated and results driven
