The Pet Circle Brand and Creative team is a skilled group of designers, brand marketers, and creatives, working to elevate the shopping experience for pet families across Australia.
As the Creative Copywriter, you will be responsible for bringing our tone of voice to life through written communications, working across all marketing channels including onsite, social, paid media, mass media, and branding campaigns.
Working closely with the Design Manager, you will form a creative team that works across all creative touchpoints for Pet Circle.
You will craft customer-led headlines and scripts for video content, both short-form and action-driven content, in support of all copy briefs across Pet Circle.
What you'll be doing Owning creative copywriting across all key channels providing snappy, concise and intriguing marketing copy to drive customer engagement, specifically focused on weekly trade for our homepage and eDM / CRM channel.Writing and pitching concepts and scripts to support trade, new product and seasonal campaigns, with a focus on writing scripts for video and short-form content.Partnering with the Design Manager to craft concepts and storyboards for quarterly brand awareness campaigns including ATL and BVOD / digital video, social.Working across our Private Label portfolio of in-house owned brands, creating and executing new product development including product naming, visual direction and launch campaigns.Collaborating cross-functionally across Pet Circle Insurance, Pharmacy and other new ventures, to develop tone of voice and GTM / BAU campaigns.Generating organic content for Pet Circle's social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, in partnership with our vet, social team and People / Culture team.Writing and curating SEO friendly onsite content edits and product descriptions for our Private Brands, to help customers discover and shop our range.Your Ideal Toolbox Demonstrated marketing copywriting experience with a minimum of 5 years working in-house or within an agency.Experience working across brand campaigns including concept and pitching ideas, storyboarding and post-production.Previous copywriting experience in retail / eCommerce is highly regarded.Proven experience managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.Collaborative work style with the wider marketing and agency teams to ensure effective campaign integration.Staying up-to-date with relevant cultural and industry trends to identify creative opportunities.Managing reporting to assess effectiveness against business and marketing goals.Ability to quickly understand how a product works and why a customer would love it.In-depth understanding of how to write for different channels, different customers and different objectives.Feedback-driven, open and collaborative ways of working.Flexible and adaptable, to adjust tone of voice to meet all briefs.A passion for copywriting in conjunction with a love of pets.Juicy Perks Heaps of development opportunities - stretch projects, focus groups & secondments.Flexible working environment.Up to 50% employee discount.Product sample giveaways.Pawrental leave and well-being leave.Team charity volunteer days.Classpass subsidy.Role location We believe that building connections and collaborating as Pet Circlers is super important.
So this role is based in Sydney with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days per week in our pet-friendly offices (your pet might love coming to the office even more than you).
