About the role:Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, this role is responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and fault finding of our underground electrical equipment of the Barto Operations in a safe and efficient manner, fully complying with all relevant Statutory requirements and safety regulations.Responsibilities:Executing monthly scheduled statutory requirements promptly and accurately.Installing and maintaining underground reticulation systems, ensuring reliable power distribution.Conducting breakdown and maintenance tasks on underground drilling equipment to minimize downtime.Installing tele remote systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety.Setting up and maintaining underground communication systems while updating relevant drawings.Other relevant duties as required.Essential qualifications include:Current "A" Grade Western Australian Electrical LicenceMinimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industryCurrent unencumbered C/HR WA Drivers Licence (Essential)Relevant trade qualification (Essential)Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence (Essential)Current High Voltage Switching certificate (Desirable)Senior First Aid (Desirable)Good communication skillsHigh Voltage switching ticket (desirable)High Risk Work Licence (desirable)Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practicesAwareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & RegulationsCulture & Benefits:If you are ready to step up to the challenges of this role, it can lead to greater opportunities for career growth and progression. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, one active underground mine, two active open pits, with new mines starting in 2024 as part of the company's 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.Due to company expansion and growth, we are currently employing experienced Underground Electricians.
