DESCRIPTIONAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.
We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to drive Data Center and Network Capacity planning in APAC.
You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers.
You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity.
You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability.
You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.Key job responsibilitiesMonitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.End to end responsibility for the program's execution and success.Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent technical Degree OR3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e.
network, data center, hardware, software).2+ years experience using reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL). #J-18808-Ljbffr
