Chinese and Additional Learning Area TeacherMacKillop Catholic College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Chinese Teacher with Additional Learning Area expertise to join our dynamic team in Johnston, NT.
This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of our college, providing high-quality education to our diverse student community.
What you'll be doing Delivering engaging and effective Chinese language lessons to secondary studentsTeaching additional learning areas as required, such as Humanities or ElectivesDeveloping and implementing innovative lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of studentsAssessing student progress and providing timely feedback to support their academic growthCollaborating with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the college's curriculum and educational programsParticipating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experienceMaintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes the college's valuesWhat we're looking for Commitment to the Mission, Vision and ethos of a Catholic SchoolTertiary qualifications in Education, with a specialisation in Chinese language teachingDemonstrated experience in teaching Chinese and an additional learning area at the secondary levelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesA passion for teaching and a commitment to student-centred learningStrong organisational and time management skills to manage the demands of the roleAbility to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic teamHolds or is able to gain registration from the NT Teachers Registration Board and an Ochre Card (working with Children)Catholic Education Northern Territory requires all of its employees to abide by its policy documentation around safeguarding children and Sharer's of the Vision.
This position requires the successful completion of a 6-month probation process.
