About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia.
In this role, you will report to the Engineering Superintendent and work on an 8:6 roster.
Your focus will be on delivering capital and upgrade projects across both operations and mining.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Initiating projects, preparing budget estimates, and justifying projects for AFE (Authorisation for Expenditure) submission.
Managing the project lifecycle from scoping and detailed design to construction, commissioning, and handover.
Providing mechanical engineering expertise, including guidance on standards, procedures, equipment strategies, condition monitoring, and failure analysis.
Supervising contractors and inspecting project work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Maintaining cost control throughout all project phases and ensuring successful delivery.
Maintaining a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, JSAs, investigations, and enforcing site procedures and safety protocols.
About You Our ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical project engineering background, including experience with ore processing plant projects (e.g., mills, cyclones, crushers, conveyors, chutes, and slurry pumps and pipes) and mining infrastructure (e.g., cooling plants, ventilation, pumping stations, tailings dam, and thickener, filtration, and water clarifier plants).

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.
Membership with Engineers Australia.
Exposure to underground and/or open-pit mining operations.
