The position of Executive Director People Performance & Technology will play a significant role in delivering this vision, helping to ensure that Sustainable Sydney 2030-2050 delivers upon the communities' aspirations and values. The Role Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director People Performance & Technology will lead and manage key functions within the City of Sydney including people and culture, customer services, business improvement and information technology & data. More specifically the Executive Director will be responsible for integrating people, technology and change strategies to both drive and align with organisational strategy. By working in partnership with the Chief Executive and the Executive leadership team, the Executive Director will play a key leadership role across the City of Sydney by providing inspiring leadership and stewardship for a high performing organisation, characterised by innovation, collaboration, integrity, and service. As a creative thinker, you will be comfortable generating alternatives, visualising new possibilities, challenging assumptions, and opening yourself up to new information. A key focus of the role will be to embed a culture of continuous improvement, providing innovative inspiring leadership, together with an unwavering commitment to the City of Sydney, its people, and their future. About You This is a unique executive leadership opportunity within a truly Global City. Focused upon delivering quality outcomes for the community, we are seeking an initiative-taking individual with exceptional leadership abilities. Whilst the breadth of portfolio allows for a range of professional backgrounds to be considered, exemplary stakeholder management and advocacy skills are a must, as is the ability to interact with all levels of government. This role will undoubtedly form a significant and integral element of a senior leader's career and as such we are keen to hear from suitably experienced professionals from across Australia. Knowledge of relevant legislation within the Local Government context whilst not essential would be beneficial, as is a deep understanding of the changing social, political, and economic issues facing the local government sector. Lastly, the position will suit an individual who is passionate about community and people leadership, is committed to delivering on a long-term strategy and who has a strong sense of integrity and ownership.
