About the RoleReporting to the Health Safety Environment and Quality Manager as the Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for enabling our business-led safety culture; improving the performance of our business, our customers, and our suppliers.
Key Deliverables of the Role Include:Be a mentor to stakeholders and influence others toward being leaders in HSEQ within their scopesSupport in maintaining licensing requirements of our business and its workers; including the accreditation of staff in new marketsDrive and embed the Opportunity & Risk Management FrameworkAssist in maintaining our 'ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety', 'ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems' and 'ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems' and 'Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner' accreditationsProvide operational support by attending customer meetingsConduct infield verification activities, safety conversations, and inspectionsDevelop and contribute to project documentationReview contractor documents, and respond to customer requirementsDrive value for customers and suppliers by providing insight and contributing to improved performance throughout the value stream (inside and outside our business).As an example, working with a head contractor in a meaningful way regarding safety performance on their site including our business and other activities.
About YouEssential Skills and Requirements:Demonstrable experience leading safety within high-risk industriesWorking knowledge of WHS Legislation, Australian Standards, and applicable industry codesAble to develop complex relationshipsCommitment to organisational learningInquisitive natureDriven to deliver resultsHigh proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite of applicationsDriver's licence to allow for travel between locationsTertiary qualification in work health and safety or engineering desirableICAM Lead investigation training desirableCertificate 4 in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) desirableApplications Close: 12 July 2024.
