By adopting frameworks such as The Sanctuary Model, a trauma-informed model of care, we foster the emotional, social, moral, physical, and cultural wellbeing of everyone associated with SCSS.Job Summary:SCSS / Children, Youth & Family Services are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join our team. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day care and support to young people. Your responsibilities will include ensuring their safety, promoting their well-being, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.Develop and implement individualised care plans.Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.Promote a safe and positive living environment.Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.What we're looking for:Previous experience working with young people in a residential or similar care setting (not essential).A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people.Understanding of child development and trauma-informed care practices.Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to use and access a smartphone for clocking in/out and shift notes.Prior to commencement in this role, team members must hold or be eligible to hold: Blue Card for Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2), hold or be willing to enrol into a Cert 4 or higher recognised qualification and a valid unrestricted driver's licence.What can SCSS offer you?Ongoing Learning & Development.Annual FREE Flu Vaccination.Reimbursement to maintain First Aid & CPR.CEO Scholarship Program.Sonder complete care platform – 24/7 support.Corporate Health Care Partners.Recognition – Employee of the Month, 5 & 10 year Service Awards.SCSS and our partner companies are committed to an inclusive environment where people feel comfortable to be themselves.
