The Company
Our client is an ASX Top 400 organisation that has consistently delivered profit results exceeding market expectations.
With 80% of operations offshore across several lines of business and continuing success in growth via both acquisition and organic top-line growth, the organization is looking to invest in the establishment of a Group Tax function.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be an integral member of the finance team.
You will be accountable for delivering compliance, projects, and strategy across the group for tax.
This is a hands-on role to ensure all tax compliance obligations for the group are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with relevant tax laws.
You will be responsible for preparing and lodging tax returns across FBT, GST, Corporate Tax, and International operations.
In addition, you will assist with the preparation of board papers and business visibility relevant to tax issues across divestments, acquisitions, and internal restructures.
You will also be integral in assisting the CFO with capital management, transfer pricing, and driving tax planning initiatives.
Your Traits
To be successful in this role, you will have experience within the profession and an ASX/multinational environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
You will have the ability to coordinate multiple assignments and successfully manage work plans in an autonomous environment while still meeting deadlines.
In addition, you will be a confident and articulate team player who possesses a high level of initiative and excellent lateral thinking skills.
