Job DescriptionAbility Action Australia's south west Sydney team are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who has current suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level, as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
Responsibilities will include: Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planningEvaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support spaceDeveloping meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and communityEnsuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengthsBuilding the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etcWorking collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support PractitionersWhat's in it for you?Ultimate flexibility - Combine the convenience of working from home with the social interaction of working in the community with the option of clinic hours.Excellent remuneration – Generous base salary + car allowance + laptop + phone + CPD + bonuses + Reward and Recognition Program.Salary packaging - includes novated leasing and self-education expenses.Career progression – Access to ongoing training tailored to your interests and long-term goals combined with professional development opportunities with Ability Action Australia and our parent company MedHealth.Passionate and uplifting culture – You will be part of a purpose and values-driven team focused on delivering outstanding support to participants.About youConsiderable experience working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner for a registered NDIS provider OR have obtained suitability at the Proficient or Advanced level via the self-assessment application pathway with the NDIS Commission.Exceptional interpersonal and communication, written and verbal, skills.Excellent time management and organisational skills.Genuine passion for working in the disability sector and mentoring less experienced practitioners.Solution focus, proactive attitude, and motivated by improvement as well as the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.Looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive work environment.QualificationsCurrent suitability - confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - at the Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support PractitionerCompletion of a degree level qualification in an allied health discipline would be an advantage but is not essentialAdditional InformationClick on the Apply button OR call Benita Kempton on OR email via .
