About Us: The newly renovated Metropole Hotel located on Palmer Street features a newly designed main bar and dining area downstairs with a gaming room, and upstairs conferencing and function facilities.
The Metropole Hotel will continue to honour the historical significance of the venue whilst bringing a fresh, new look to the area.
As a part of the KPAT Hotel and Pubs group, although independently owned and operated, we work with national and international hotel brands to deliver high-quality experiences for our customers.
We operate in a fast-paced, heavy growth environment with further opportunities consistently being reviewed and are constantly looking to grow our organisation.
The Role: We are currently seeking a Head Chef who will be responsible for managing the kitchen's daily operations, creating innovative dishes, ensuring food quality and safety, and leading a passionate team of chefs.
You will work closely with management to maintain the highest standards of food preparation and presentation while contributing to menu development and profitability.
Duties include but are not limited to: Food preparation and presentationRostering, hiring and management of kitchen teamsOrdering of stockEnsuring expectations of service are consistently metMenu creation and refinementAssisting with production for our regional venueMaximising profitable food revenueCatering for functions & eventsEnsuring menus, food standards, procedures and processes are followedMaintaining a clean, compliant and efficient kitchenThis position requires the availability to work weekdays and nights, weekends, split shifts, and public holidays.
This role is suitable for an experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef looking to take the next step in their career.
