As General Manager, Employee Relations , you will hold an integral role in the People and Culture leadership team, with responsibility for leading the design and delivery of Uniting Care's Employee Relations strategy, including overseeing the development of effective Employee Relations policies and practices, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Please note, this is a full time, permanent role, where flexible working is supported.
Your part in our Uniting Care team: Develop and implement in conjunction with key stakeholders, an enterprise-wide Employee Relations Strategy and frameworks which are consistent with contemporary employee relations philosophy and is in service of enhancing employee engagement, UCQ's desired culture and Employee Value Proposition and each service team's business priorities.
Oversee management of matters before external industrial relations tribunals.
Manage a team of specialist employee relations practitioners to support the delivery of employee relations services to business leaders.
Assess, manage and provide advice to Senior Management on implications of and solutions to enterprise-wide employee relations and industrial relations risk in a manner that is consistent with UCQ's strategic priorities.
Oversee Enterprise Bargaining processes, including leading negotiations with employee and registered employee organisations bargaining representatives.
In partnership with P&C colleagues, build and deploy programs that continuously improve line leader capability with respect to employee relations matters.
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources or Employee Relations with relevant industry work experience.
Extensive experience in leadership at senior level in a similar role, ideally within a large, complex organisation, with expert knowledge of industrial relations legislation and frameworks.
Demonstrated high level experience in leading enterprise bargaining projects and performance management and disciplinary functions.
Well-developed strategic employee relations skills and experience in developing business-focused employee relations strategies for a large, state-wide organisation.
Experience in complex industrial environments, case management, dispute resolution and strategy development and implementation.
