Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Pipeline Controller to join our National Control Centre team.
This position is based in Perth CBD on an even time roster.

Roster : 3 Dayshifts followed by 3 Nightshifts or another 3 Dayshifts.
6 days on/6 days off.

The Pipeline Controller is responsible for providing services designed to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of gas to meet AGIG's objectives.
These services include the control, operation and monitoring of the high-pressure natural gas pipeline systems, distribution systems, associated facilities, hydrogen processing, SCADA systems, ancillary equipment and coordinating responses to inadvertent situations.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring the health of the pipeline system and the integrity of gas quality and supply.
Detect and troubleshoot operational problems or safety hazards, taking appropriate action in real-time.
Understanding the gas delivery schedule and monitoring the gas delivered at each outlet point.
Operate remote hydrogen plants for continuous network blending.
Operate remote gas storage production facility.
Understanding the escalation and notification process for incidents and emergencies.
Maintaining timely, accurate and sufficiently detailed records of events throughout the shift.
Complete contractual scheduling tasks for the pipeline in accordance with the relevant timeframes and procedures.
About You
A Mechanical or Electrical/Instrumentation trade qualification highly desirable.
Proven experience in a gas control room or related operational field.
Experience in operation or maintenance of gas transmission systems/or related is preferred.
Process plant or gas industry certification highly desirable.
High level of competence in statistics and correlation methods.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent team collaboration skills.
Understanding of technical drawings, reports, manuals, and procedures.
Working knowledge of the mechanics of fluid flow in pipelines.
Experience with computer systems used for monitoring or controlling of process equipment, SCADA systems; are preferred.
Some knowledge of gas contracts and gas regulations desirable.
