Job Title: Senior HV / ASP-3 Engineer - Mission CriticalLocation: Sydney, NSWSalary: Up to $180,000.00 PackageSectors: Building Services / Grid Utilities / Mission CriticalAbout the Company:Shaw Talent is working exclusively with a leading Global Consultancy focused on engineering within the Built Environment.
They are recognized for delivering an exceptional standard of design across the Mission Critical, Defence, Transport, Living (Resi, Hotel, Age-care, Mixed-use) and Aviation markets, to name a few.
They offer MEP, Civil & Structural design services and have a strong client base focused on relationships, backed by their consistent high standards for project outcomes.
With a growing portfolio of work in the Mission Critical Data Centre space, they are seeking an experienced High Voltage Grid Engineer, with ambition to help build a growing team as well as exciting secondment opportunities.Role Overview:As a Senior or Associate HV Grid Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and delivery of HV Grid electrical infrastructure projects within a range of markets, but with a focus on Mission Critical.
The onus will be on exceptional technical knowledge and high attention to detail with the clients needs and requirements whilst dealing with the relevant authorities.The opportunity would provide the successful applicant with the platform to be a key team player helping build a team of engineers and designers, and/or the opportunity to be seconded onto state of the art Data Centre projects client side.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions and advancing their career in a forward-thinking consultancy.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of HV Grid electrical projects for a range of developments, with a core focus on Data Centres.Foster a culture of design excellence both in-house and for client, providing technical leadership and mentorship.Ensure all designs comply with Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, and Essential Energy standards.Prepare and review detailed design documentation.Liaise with clients, utility providers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.Provide technical support throughout the construction and commissioning phases.Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies to maintain design excellence.Requirements:Proven experience in HV Grid Substation Design.Proven electrical design within the building services or infrastructure sector.Accredited Service Provider (ASP) Level 3 certification (desirable not essential).Strong knowledge of Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, and Essential Energy design standards and processes.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PowerCAD, or similar tools.Benefits:Highly competitive salary package and performance bonuses.Work on significant cutting edge projects in Mission Critical.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Work with a highly skilled and supportive team.Exposure to diverse and exciting projects across Sydney.How to Apply:If you are a motivated and experienced HV Engineer who wants to take on a new challenge, we want to hear from you
