Power Station Operator Maintainer - Mechanical (FIFO)Zenith Energy operates two power stations at the Newmont Tanami site, the Dead Bullock Soak (DBS) and the Granites Power Station (GTS).
The two power stations are 42km apart.
In 2020, Zenith began the "T2 Expansion" at Tanami, installing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and gas generating units.
The role of Maintainer Mechanic is required to maintain the power station equipment such as Wartsila, Jenbacher, MTU, and Cummins.
If you have experience on any of these OEMs, we would like to hear from you The roster cycle for this role is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off FIFO from Brisbane - Darwin - Perth Working within a small team and servicing remote sites, this position has the responsibility of executing planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance tasks on the equipment within Zenith's power stations.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Execution of planned maintenance activities and unscheduled maintenance on power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.Maintain and update service records.Exhibit the highest commitment to Zenith's HSE and environmental policies.Take an active role in ensuring an incident-free workplace.Act as a relief Power Station operator as required.About You As the Power Station Operator / Maintainer, you will have the following experience, knowledge, and skills:
Experience 3 years' experience in a Mechanical trade.Heavy industry or power generation experience in a maintenance role is desirable.Experience in engine rebuilds, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.Remote site or FIFO experience is desirable.Tradesperson level ERP experience (Pronto, Ellipse, SAP) is desirable.Skills/Ability Ability to work unsupervised.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good mechanical aptitude.Ability to use Microsoft Office products.Qualifications & Clearances Mechanical Trade Certificate.First Aid certificate.Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Pre-employment Medical.Right to work in Australia.Why Zenith You will work for a market leader with strong projected growth and a company that values and celebrates their people.
