We are currently seeking an Operations Manager with a focus in the areas of Infrastructure, Power, Renewables, Mining and Oil n' Gas utilizing your freight forwarding skills to join our team in Brisbane.
Reporting to our Regional East Coast Manager, your duties and responsibilities will require you to:
Your tasks and responsibilities: Manage and execute the daily operations of General Cargo Freight/ProjectsLead, direct and support the operations team in daily operations as well as spearheading the development and rollout of continuous improvement initiativesWork with the Business Development Team to manage and develop sales leadsLead communication with clients and suppliersContract review and management, controlling of project financials, operations management, reporting results, and KPIsCreate high quality technical and commercial proposals in response to budget requests, tenders, RFI and RFQ / RFPEmploy company tools such as Cargowise, CRM and Smartsheet to gain maximum advantageWhat you can contribute: Experience in Cargowise is essentialQualifications in Logistics and/or Project Management is desirableExperience leading/managing high quality teams in the freight/logistics industryAt least five years experience in international freight forwarding, with knowledge of international logistics processesLogistics Experience in Oil n Gas, Mining, Capital Construction, Power, and Renewables is essentialA team player attitude with a distinctive hands-on mentality and enjoys working in a dynamic environmentOnly Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia will be considered for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
