Located at Lenah Valley in Hobart's Northern Suburbs and reporting to the Head of Major Projects, the role will provide project management expertise over the full contract life-cycle.
The Senior Project Manager will lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver large transmission projects that will support Tasmania's transition to a renewable future.
Engaging collaboratively with internal staff within the MTP team and other groups within TasNetworks, external stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
The role will be accountable for the efficient management and control of all phases of the transmission project lifecycle, from initial planning through to the execution and project closeout, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legal and regulatory requirements.
The role will monitor and manage scope, schedule, cost and quality project objectives and provide procurement oversight and contract management expertise.
About youYou will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Project or Construction Management and/or engineering, or demonstrated project experience.
You will be able to demonstrate the capacity to perform the requirements of the role evidenced from your work history and examples of strong performance.
We are looking for a seasoned project manager with strong and demonstrated management and leadership skills.
You will have strong commercial acumen, contract management and reporting skills.
You will have an ability to explain complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences as part of your excellent communication and presentation skills.
