Welders & Boilermakers (Trades & Services) Full time VC Maintenance are part of the Vassallo Group of companies which have been providing services in the Mackay region since 1997.
VC Maintenance's focus is on maintaining our own light vehicle, highway truck, Quarry processing, earthmoving and civil equipment fleet as well as providing high quality repairs and services for external clients.
The Position We are excited for the opportunity to offer a Boiler Maker position in our team based out of our Mackay Northern Beaches workshop.
For an immediate start, we are looking for a Boiler Maker with a "Can do" attitude and a passion for all things Fabrication.
The role on offer is a field service role with a work Ute supplied looking after our light vehicle, highway truck, Quarry processing, earthmoving and civil equipment fleets.
With your choice of either working Monday to Friday or a 9-day fortnight roster.
Remuneration Immediate Start.Full-Time position.Competitive market leading rates.Field service vehicle provided.Monday to Friday or 9 Day fortnight rosters on offer.Additional weekend work available.Position local to Mackay - Be home every night.Key Responsibilities Complete daily welding activities on equipment.Interpret and or create blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.Inspect and identify areas in need of repair, or any malfunctions/damage.Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal reliability.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications and Key Attributes: Knowledge of maintaining light vehicle, highway truck, Quarry processing, earthmoving or civil equipment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Hold a current Australian Driver's license and be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.A valid HC Driver's Licence (desired but not essential).As part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete a criminal history and qualification checks.
