This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Sessional appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency for Fixed Term and Sessional appointments. We are seeking several dynamic renal clinicians to join our team to serve our growing patient population.
For these positions, we are specifically looking nephrologists with a sub-specialty interest and/or demonstrated clinical consultant-level experience in managing patients in regional or remote areas, especially improving the health outcomes of First Nations people living with kidney disease.
We have multiple immediate vacancies for Sessional appointments (minimum of 32 and up to 48 hours per fortnight or 8 – 12 sessions per fortnight).
What is our Consultant Physician Nephrology role? Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) Department of Renal Medicine and Transplantation is an energetic unit offering clinical work in all aspects of nephrology medicine including renal genetics, young adult transition clinic and are the largest kidney transplant centre in Western Australia.
Our renal team also visits regional Western Australia and works to promote the health and well-being of First Nations communities living with kidney disease.
Our service is expanding to include the Midwest country health renal service, providing the renal service and patients (dialysis and transplant) in the Midwest area, with a wide catchment from surrounding regions.
There are substantial face to face and Telehealth clinic workloads, along with oversight of the dialysis unit (in Geraldton and Carnarvon) and leadership of continuous service improvement initiatives.
These roles include rotation through SCGH and clinics in the Midwest (Geraldton and Carnarvon) as required to deliver the service.
