ABOUT BRISBANE RIVER GRILL
Brisbane River Grill serves a variety of dishes in a playful, maritime -themed setting.
Guests looking for a bite to eat will find freshly prepared favourites like burgers, salads, and of course fish and chips.
The menu incorporates some of Queensland's best produce, served within a friendly, casual environment.
THIS ROLE/LOCATION
Level 3 Cook Grade 2 to Level 5 Cook Grade 4 roles
Casual positions available
Brisbane River Grill (Brisbane International Airport)
Working across multiple sites
Must be available to work on a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays and a combination of morning & evening shifts.
Must have own reliable transport
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)
Assist senior chefs with the day to day operations of the kitchen utilizing your skills and experience
Production & A la carte service
Preparing and cooking dishes
Monitoring preparing, timing, presentation, and decoration of dishes
Ensuring compliance with food safety procedures and hygiene practices
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Relevant commercial cookery qualification (required)
Hold a Current Police check clearance
Qualified Food Safety Supervisor (desirable)
Demonstrated ability to work within OH & S and continuous improvement environment
Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen
Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information
Interest in local and global food trends
Good communication and immaculate presentation
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Team player and display a positive and nimble attitude
