ABOUT THE ROLE
St Agnes' GP Clinic is seeking dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who has a strong commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare for elderly patients, with a particular focus on those living in residential aged care services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys working in a collaborative and patient-centred environment, specifically in aged care, where the need for thorough, ongoing medical management is critical.
As a General Practitioner at St Agnes' GP Clinic, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, holistic medical care to elderly patients, many of whom have complex and chronic health conditions.
The role offers you the chance to work closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of allied health professionals, dementia specialist, nurse practitioner and registered nurses specialising in aged care.
This integrated approach ensures that patients receive well-rounded care that addresses not only their immediate medical needs but also their long-term health and wellbeing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivering High-Quality Medical Care - Provide tailored healthcare services that address the unique needs of elderly patients, particularly those in residential aged care.
This includes managing chronic health conditions, conducting regular health assessments and screenings.
Collaborative Care - Work in close partnership with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, including allied health specialists, dementia care experts, and registered nurses.
Medical Record Maintenance - Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date patient records using Best Practice software.
After-Hours Care - Participate in the clinic's after-hours roster when necessary, ensuring patients receive continuous care, even outside of normal working hours.

Earn up to $528,000 per year - (This illustration is based on working full-time prior to the 80/20 split) Onboarding Payment - Receive a bonus payment for every new patient you accept into the clinic, further boosting your earnings potential.
Supportive Team Environment - You will have access to a practice nurse and a nurse practitioner, who will assist with patient care, follow-ups, and care planning, allowing you to focus on providing high-level medical care.

Mentorship and Professional Development - You will have the opportunity to receive mentorship from an experienced Residential Aged Care GP, allowing you to grow and further develop your skills in aged care medicine.

State-of-the-Art Clinic Facilities - You will work in a purpose-built clinic room, fully equipped with facilities for performing simple procedures.
Located in a newly developed dementia village, the clinic is specifically designed to meet the needs of patients with dementia, allowing you to deliver focused and effective care.
Advanced Technology Support - A dedicated laptop will be provided to ensure seamless integration with Best Practice software, residential care electronic medical records, and the medication management system.
This technology enables you to offer comprehensive patient care with ease.
Additionally, access to an in-house IT team ensures that any technical issues are quickly addressed, allowing you to focus on patient care.
WHO YOU ARE
Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
A strong commitment to delivering patient-centred care is essential, with a focus on understanding and addressing the unique needs of elderly patients in a residential aged care setting.
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with patients, their families, and your colleagues.
The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is essential, ensuring that all patients receive well-coordinated and comprehensive care.
