About The Role
As a C# Software Engineer, you will join our Projects team, focusing on front-end development to support and enhance our trading systems. The technology vision is to make technology an asset rather than a challenge, with a strategic focus on building scalable, reliable systems that meet both business and technical goals.
Working closely with traders and other teams, you'll help clarify and refine system requirements to align with the short- and long-term objectives of Life Trading. This role is fast-paced, dynamic, and provides plenty of scope for growth.
This is a hybrid role with 4 days a week in office, 1 day WFH.
Your Mission at Life Trading Development and Architecture: Maintain our current front-end application (C# 11, .NET 11, WinForms).Modernise the front-end using C# 12+, .NET 8, and WPF.Enable data sharing across front-end tools used by traders.Enhance rapid development capabilities within the front-end team.Design protocols between front-end and trading services.Assist with code profiling and optimisation.Ensure high test coverage and code quality.Collaborate with the team to define and implement replay and simulation tools. Support: Work with traders to specify and implement functionality improvements.Provide ongoing support for production systems and upgrades.Manage incidents and conduct regular business reviews. Other: Uphold company values, policies, and relevant exchange rules.Report directly to the Head of Engineering. What We're Looking For 4+ years of experience with C# (11+) and .NET (7+) for desktop applications.Strong experience in WPF for desktop application development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A passion for learning and technical growth.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.Solid business acumen. Bonus Points For Experience with Protobuf and WinForms.Front-office trading or customer-facing experience.Interest or experience in UX design.Familiarity with Python or C++. A Bit About The Team
