Senior Project Engineer
within our engineering team.
The SPE will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for managing major self-perform concrete and structural works on various projects within major regional and Perth metropolitan areas.What you're good at:
Demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Engineer in a similar role within the commercial construction industry.A working knowledge of implementing and monitoring project management plans.Able to demonstrate daily productivity and cost control skills and prior forecasting experience.Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and suppliers for site works.Attends to the scope of work assigned with defined work methods and delivers the work in accordance with the total project schedule.Prepares short term (4 weekly or as otherwise directed) look ahead programs, and provides input into the project schedule, status of works and reporting requirements.Measures and reviews productivity for assigned tasks and reports formally to the project team, collaborating in driving any required changes.Maintains and updates (or assists others to maintain) the contract program, including productivity units and ensuring the timely notification of EOT's or Delay.Required Skills and Experience:
Structures experience essential - reinforced concrete and PT.Degree in either Civil Engineering or Construction Management.Able to demonstrate development and management of a number of subordinate engineers.Able to demonstrate managerial acumen in areas such as contract awareness and commercial control.Excellent technical knowledge of all aspects of commercial engineering.Be comfortable presenting to large audiences (lots of stakeholder engagement).Experience working on large projects would be advantageous.Experience in coordinating and/or running toolbox meetings, pre-start meetings, site inductions and a demonstrated commitment to HSEQ practices.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which enable you to assist in resolution of client and key stakeholders' concerns.Experience of guiding and leading other engineers.Current experience working in a similar role.Demonstrated experience in managing/overseeing a project or an assigned section of a project.What Georgiou's good at?
