About the projectJohn Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.
Your RoleAs Safety Advisor, you will monitor and support the safety function under general supervision, to provide support and coordination of safety practices, systems and procedures on the Gold Coast Light Rail project.
Monitor compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management teamImplement safety programs for project employeesAssist with workers compensation claims and rehabilitation processes.Assist with conducting incident and accident investigationsConduct safety inspections and monitoring work areasEstablish positive working relationships with project personnel and raise awareness of safety risksAssist in the development of communications tools and records for all project safety meetingsPrepare and maintain reports and documentation concerning the aspects of project safety programsEstablish and maintain personal competence in relation to the O&M and GoldlinQ's SMSWork on rotational day / night shift rosterAbout YouDiploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalentSafety Lead Auditor qualificationConstruction safety management (1+ years)Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and monitoring of risk controlsExperience monitoring, reviewing and performing compliance inspectionsSkills in safety management techniques and toolsAs part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform livesYour success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
