The Australian College of Applied Professions, is Australia's leading independent provider of tertiary education, delivering accredited courses in psychology, counselling, coaching, criminology, social work, law, and business management and leadership (MBA).
ACAP is seeking a number of dedicated sessional Counselling Educators who are passionate about their field and excited to teach the next generation of professionals.

Opportunities are available at both our Sydney and Melbourne Campuses.

We are seeking experts in one or more of the following subject matters:

Neuroscience Counselling and Psychotherapy Grief therapy Trauma Counselling Group work Counselling Children and Young People Philosophies and Theories of Counselling Cross Cultural Counselling Ethical Decision Making in Counselling and Psychotherapy Mental Health Counselling Research and Contemporary Counselling Approaches Creative Arts Counselling and Narrative Therapy Contemporary Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Sessional Tutoring involves:

Teaching classes including tutorials, intensive workshops, and engaging with students through online forums.
Marking assignments and performing administrative tasks associated with the classes.
Teaching from the Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD campus.
Full time or part time for a specific period, with the opportunity in exceptional circumstances, to assume the role of Unit Coordinator.

The candidates we seek will ideally have:

Experience working in a tertiary education institution.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with all levels of the College.
Excellent scholarly expertise and/or industry expertise.
Breadth of Counselling industry expertise.

Essential qualifications for the candidates:

A Counselling qualification, at least Masters.
Membership or eligibility for membership of PACFA or ACA.
