Project Officer - New Kitchen Operational and Business Readiness (357999) Department: Department of Justice
Location: Tasmania Prison Service, Risdon Prison
Employment Type: Fixed-term, full-time
Salary: $96,584.00 to $101,313.00 per annum

Details of Appointment: Fixed term for a period of 18 months commencing as soon as possible.
This is a day work position working 73.50 hours per fortnight.

In addition to the salary: 11.5% super, access to salary sacrifice and salary packaging.4 weeks annual leave per year, plus access to purchased leave, leave without pay, and State Service accumulated leave scheme.Access to a free, confidential Employee Assistance Program and a range of other services via our dedicated Wellbeing and Support team.Learning, development, and career progression opportunities across Tasmania.Duties: Assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of key strategic and operational projects, providing advice, conducting research, and proposing solutions.Identify pilot opportunities for self-catering and genuine meal choices for prisoners, supporting their implementation.Develop documentation for project and business operational readiness, including project management, action, commissioning, and implementation plans.Prepare submissions and reports for key governance bodies and facilitate operational project working groups.Work with the Strategic Infrastructure Projects team to manage, procure, and deliver furniture, fittings, and equipment for the New Risdon Kitchen Project.Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Perform other duties as allocated within the capacity, qualifications, and experience expected at this classification level.Pre-employment Checks: The Head of State Service requires the successful candidate to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment.
