We are on the lookout for an awesome Business Analyst who loves people and technology and is ready to embark on a full-time, permanent role in an innovative consultancy environment.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Business Analyst to join our Project Management team.
Our ideal candidate must be an Australian Citizen with Australian government baseline, NV1 or higher security clearance (non-negotiable, as we work with many government agencies who require this).
As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between stakeholders and the development team, interpreting business requirements into understandable development tasks to match a final software product with the expected business value.
You will work with our clients (and internal project teams) to workshop and capture clients' technical and business requirements, collaboratively refine and rank them, and produce Business Requirements Specification documents to be used for solution designs and delivery.
You will also wear a "tester" hat, creating quality test plans and cases that align with the requirements document.
This is a highly visible role, and you will have visibility of the project from concept to delivery, including business requirements gathering, business process mapping, and working with consultants to create functional specification documents, wireframes, mock-ups, process flow diagrams, test plans, and scripts.

Have previous Business Analyst experience (3+ years) across multiple industries (government and private sector) in IT software projectsDemonstrated experience in Microsoft 365/Power Platform/Dynamics 365 CRM projectsExperience working in tech consultancy is an advantageAn understanding of cloud technologies is desiredAre highly experienced in requirements elicitation and comfortable working with senior decision-makersPossess strong knowledge of:Business Process Flows and have the ability to analyse existent technologies and functionalityWaterfall and Agile project management methodologiesAble to leverage your strong communication skills and analytical background to accurately articulate business requirements, documenting them clearly for both developers and stakeholdersExperience in workshop facilitation, business cases, user stories/product backlog items creationAre skilled in test case creation and testingHave a passion for problem-solving and developing elegant solutionsManage competing priorities and multiple projects when required, to effectively meet deadlinesAre an approachable and awesome team playerAre an Australian citizen and have at least Australian government baseline security clearance or NV1About SOCOSOCO is an award-winning Australian-based IT consultancy who put people first.
