The role
The Mermaid Waters Hotel, operated by the ALH Hotel Group, is currently finalising a multi-million dollar renovation throughout the property.
We're seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic management team.
In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of our renovated hotel located in the heart of Mermaid Waters, Queensland.
Key responsibilities Assist the Venue Manager in leading and motivating a high-performing team of hospitality professionalsOversee the smooth running of all hotel operations, including food and beverage, housekeeping, and front-of-houseEnsure exceptional customer service and a memorable guest experienceContribute to the development and implementation of strategic business plansManage budgets, inventory, and other financial responsibilitiesIdentify and address operational issues, implementing effective solutionsAssist with staff recruitment, training, and performance managementFoster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused work environmentWhat we're looking for Minimum 12 months experience in a similar assistant manager or supervisory role in the hospitality industryStrong commercial acumen and financial management skillsExceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilitiesProven track record of delivering exceptional customer serviceAdept at problem-solving and decision-makingFlexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentPassion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to driving business growthRelevant qualifications in hospitality management such as an Approved Managers License, RMLV Certification, RSA & RSG accreditation would be highly regardedIf you only possess some of our requirements don't be afraid to throw your hat in the ring; enthusiasm and determination go a long way tooWhat we offer
