The Opportunity
As a passionate people person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens and building fixtures within the community.
Working closely with Community Manager and the residents, you will ensure our gardens, grounds, building and fixtures are well maintained, presentable and safe for all to enjoy.
The ideal candidate needs to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and be the "Jack of all Trades" when it comes to maintenance, gardening and repair Located in Casula NSW, Aveo Maple Grove Retirement Village is a tight-knit and welcoming community, set on beautifully landscaped gardens and nestled into green surrounds in the peaceful environment of Casula.
Just 34 km southwest of the Sydney CBD, it offers a variety of public amenities

What we offer:$27.17/hr + relevant Aged Care Award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuation All tools and supplies provided Paid Parental Leave and Purchased Annual Leave options Employee Referral Program and Employee Assistance Program Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers Opportunities for further career progression Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a caring retirement living community You willAttend to various maintenance requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules Complete additional adhoc tasks delegated to you by Community Leaders Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas. What you'll bringA warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day Experience in Gardening duties (highly desired) Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you) Valid driver's licence (required) Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required) Who we are
