We are looking for a producer who lives and breathes the news and is across everything from politics to sport, current affairs, pop culture, business and finance news as well as the ever-changing geo-political landscape.
As a producer you will write copy, edit vision, produce live crosses, select and build segments as well as contribute to the editorial discussion.
The Job Production of News Channel bulletins, programs and content for digital platforms Write stories, reporter and guest intros, teases, headlines and news updates Produce live crosses, graphics, as lives and all manner of news content Select and edit vision, sound bites, and long form interviews to help tell a story Any additional responsibilities based on your unique talents / abilities About You You are someone who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment, is willing to experiment and innovate how we connect audiences and has the ability to seamlessly switch between hard news and those lighter stories that people talk about and share.
2-5 years of experience in a newsroom Sound knowledge and interest in news, politics, sport, current events and popular culture Understanding of the technical and logistic challenges of television news production High level communication and time management skills An ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team A willingness to listen, learn and apply constructive feedback What we can offer you: 15.4% ABC Nominated Super.
