Vent & Projects Engineer: Underground
to join their team at
King of the Hills Gold Mine
in the Eastern Goldfields.Reporting to the UG Senior Engineer, the UG Mine Ventilation Engineer will be responsible for ventilation planning, monitoring and ventilation regulatory compliance for our evolving underground mining operation.As someone who takes pride in producing high quality work and ownership of their remit, you will be solutions focused and be able to communicate clearly across all levels.
With a current mine life of 16 years, you have a unique opportunity to be a part of this exciting operation.This role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off roster FIFO from Perth or DIDO from surrounding local areas.Key responsibilities will include:Responsible for the monitoring and reporting for underground mine primary and secondary ventilation circuitsEnsure all statutory vent surveys and vent instructions are conducted and regulatory requirements compliantCommunicating with underground operators with regards to ventilation installations and usageStrategy - analysis of mining methods and improvement projects for ventilationPlanning – ventilation requirements of level extraction plans, level plans, infrastructure design, work instructions etcProjects – Management and monitoring of underground infrastructure projects, ensuring that the highest technical and safety standards are maintainedKey factors to your success include:Relevant tertiary qualification as a Mining EngineerQualifications as Ventilation Officer under the Current WA Health and Safety Act and Regulations (Desirable)Demonstrated experience in underground mine ventilation management and controlProficient user of mine planning software such as Deswik and VentsimVentilation planning, monitoring and reportingStrong problem solving, organisational and time management skillsVault Minerals employees benefit from a culture that supports a safe, modern and secure working environment, favourable working conditions, training and development opportunities, career advancement opportunities, competitive salary packages and the autonomy and responsibility to achieve individual, project and organisational goals.How to register your interest:Please apply via the link with your resume and cover letter, demonstrating your experience and its relation to the criteria above.
