At Real Community Services (RCS) we provide experienced, quality services to people living with a disability within an in-home or community setting.
With a brilliant team across Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast, we are there to help our Participants to achieve their goals to live a fulfilling life.
Real Community Services continues to deliver supports by embracing the values of diligence, respect, and innovation.
About the role This role supports a Participant living independently in Department of House Accommodation in Capalaba.
The participant is looking for an experienced female support worker with excellent communication skills and is available for sleep over and weekend shifts.
You must have experience in using hoist for personal care, wheelchairs and Stoma care.
What a normal day would look like Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of the participants. Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families. Assist with all manual handling, hoisting and toileting, showers, meals, medication, domestic duties and other tasks as required. You must understand mealtime management plan. Support daily planning, advocacy, communication and community access. Qualifications required A minimum certificate III, diploma or qualification in disability or relevant area such as aged care, community services, or health. Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport. Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment). Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment). Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment). NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment). Full Australian working rights. Smart phone with internet access.
